Necktie Lovers Essentials for Good Tie Wearing

As a necktie lover you want your neckties to last as long as possible. Trends come and go and then come back again, or maybe you want to pass your cool neckties down ( Side note: I LOVE the idea of ties running in the family for generations and generations. In a perfect world there would be "family ties") but I digress...

Here are a few tricks and tips to keep your tie lasting longer!

1) TIDE PENS

Yes!! If you keep one in your desk or even in your pocket if you're a coffee drinker, you'll love this instant stain remover stick. It's like magic, honestly!

Just put pressure on the tip of the pen when held to your stain so a little liquid comes out, and then scrub lightly until it disappears : )

2) MINI LINT BRUSH

Another great tool to have in your desk for a quickly lint removal. Great for wool ties or other ties that attract lint easily.

3) DENUBBING TOOL

I use this ALL of the time, on almost all of my clothing but works for slightly nubbed ties too. You just turn this machine on and lightly roll around over nubbiness and see the magic happen. Press gently or the fabric could pull up into the blades of the machine (I've done this once and only once)

4) SMALL BOX

The best way to store your ties is to roll them, and an even better way is to put that rolled tie in a safe box even if it's just a kraft box. It will keep well, and never wrinkle this way.

5) SAVING TIES

Here at Handsome&Lace, we also help save ties by fixing them. From slimming neckties, to repairing small holes and replacing lost keepers ( The loop at the back that holds the tie tail in place )
